How low can you go and still fit on the ferry?

I'm wondering, how low is reasonable to go for a cars getting on the Vancouver island ferry? im sure some on here may have had bad experiences or some managed to sneak your lowered pride and joy on without  so much as a scratch.
And im taliking just the car with out being filled up with Porkubusses etc.

I have gone on the Seattle and Port Townsend ferry with no issues in my old car. If you are worried get there early and tell the workers, that way they will stick you on last so you do not hold people up getting on or off.

I think it will depend on the tide. Low tide seems to have a steeper ramp off the ferry. High tide the ramp is close to level.

Years back going to Courtney I high centered even going at an angle, the ferry workers laughed and then they lifted the back end up Thank god for over riders

So the car is a bout 3 splines down i reckon , and i got lucky as i think the tide was high but they stuck me on the top ramp and it was flatish both ends so im well happy.
Car even sailed through its first aircare in a number of years, apparently it was too low to put the blocks on O0, so im getting the plates as soon as my permit runs out on sunday and i'll be aroundaboutabit
