Local shop/helpful individual needed....
« on: June 24, 2009, 09:44:04 PM »
Hey all. I've been "slowly" working on a 2275 build that is a loooooong time in the making. I've come over one hurdle to find the next one. My current issue that I am having is with the crank and flywheel. They are both Scat pieces but they will not mate together. The flywheel can't even get past the dowels on the crank. I know the SPG offset pattern and have found where it is "supposed" to reside but it seems it is still just a fraction off that it won't seat down into the dowels to begin to ratchet on with the gland nut. Do I need to find someone to machine the flywheel to the fraction that it needs or is there something else wrong that I may not be looking at? If there is someone (shop or individual) that could help out with some knowledge, that would be GREATLY appreciated. I've had it test fitted to longblock a couple times now and I think everything is almost ready to put together...I just want to have the crank/flywheel fit nicely for endplay checking before sealing everything up...again.
Cheers!
