Do you need an Engine to go down the track? I had a few set backs this week, Trans is in since this pic but the Engine is all apart. Hope to have it together this weekend.

I think I could be convinced to enter the stock motor challenge.

Someone is going to have to teach me what all them thar fancy schmancy lights are for though. I'm used to some poor sap standing out in the middle of the forest in the pouring rain counting down "Five, Four, Three, Two..."and then you spray them with mud and gravel as you leave :D

Go get em Darren.  Looks like the boost management is working and getting closer to being fine tuned.

Hopefully tomorrow I can post some video of me racing tonight.   ;D

hahaha.....glad this is a 1/8 mile track.  Started the night at 10.5 and got it  down to 9.02 @79.4 mph.. I got 8 passes in and  after every pass I kept dropping the float level because  of the huge bog at launch, Still need more too, but much better than the first pass.  Adjusted the jets after every pass .  Last pass of the night I took the fan belt off looking to atleast get into the 8's, and above 80 mph...I took out to much fuel when I turned down the idles 1/4 turn more, and went down a touch on the main, result was it sputtered to a 9.4 at 75.  duh ..  ohwell, progress atleast. Last year I was 10 - 11's, so far I'm close to getting into 8's.  I am running 7lbs boost right now.   My Dellorto was so much easier than this holley.  I'm sure on a clean run with the fan belt on it should be a 8.6 run. 60's were a high of 2.5 to a low of 2.2.  Once I get the bog out from the float bowl level being too high, then should be able to get back to my usual high 1.9's 60' on my street tires.  I think I have close to 24 passes now on this motor without a clean pass yet.  My slicks are collecting dust still, and I'm itching to put them on, but I'll wait.

while discussing the new colour on geoffs oval over lunch i believe it was mirko that said it best...and i quote..."he painted the gay away!". ;) ;D

seriously tho...i'm down with the brown. that colour with the wheels, deck lid, t bars & de-chromed body definatley give the car more of an old-school cal-look flavour. good work geoff!!

...whos going racing this year?

very soon , just need some more seat/breakin time and a little extra free time from home ,have a small reno going on  ;)
i'm on the road and running ,last saturday took " THE WOK " out for its first run of the summer .
as always its exciting to run and feel how the new motor with upgrades runs .so far no ping ,has more torque ,
and runs very smooth on the street and the new A/C system should keep me cool
.......and i hope at the track it scares the shit out of me .fingers crossed i have finally pulled it all together .

Looking good! The ac looks nice, what did you use for the dash vents or is it hidden. I always wanted to run a ac unit to the oil cooler and eng comp.
