word on the street...
« on: May 20, 2009, 07:25:01 PM »
...is that there were talks of having a weekly/monthly (?) vw meet at an undisclosed location in east vancouver over the summer?

any truth to this and if so...when's it all going down? with the weather getting nicer i've found i suddenly have got a hankering for hanging out in parking lots and scrounging for scraps!

It's very true! and details will be coming soon ;D

What day would work best for everyone....Friday afternoon like the old Java Hut.

Sat during the Day? Or on a Sunday?

Let's hear your thoughts everyone.

hey ray...it's not my decision as to what day or time this meet will be at. i'm pretty sure it's the hip cats from that "other" club that will decide that! ;)

as far as what day is good...i think chris & ont58 raise a few good points. friday might conflict with mission test & tunes/street legal runs and the weekends tend to be busier for most folks (family, weekend get-aways, etc). something to consider might be the other gatherings that happen throughout the summer (white rock beach cruise-in, a&w in langley, ect) and when they're held. the more events the better, imho.

i think i'd prefer a thursday. 6pm-10pm-ish type deal. i'm pretty sure that the thursdays in richmond are over, so no conflict there.

but i'm easy like sunday morning....which also might be another good time to have it. park & brunch??

either way...i'm all for it!!! 8)

I'm loving the Thursday idea. I wouldn't roll down every week from Squamish, but would definitely be frequent.

Weekends, at least for a mountain bike coach, aren't a possiblity!

Spring thaw was almost a month ago...I'm itching to see some new metal.
