Plug Gap
« on: January 08, 2009, 11:30:01 AM »
I am reinstalling my engine after re-jetting and wondering where I should start with plug gap. It was at .032 before changing the jets.

Thanks

Is that supposed to be 0.032" (inch)?

IIRC, if you are running a stock ignition system, the recommended gap is 0.028". So, 0.004" (four thou.) is not going to matter. If you are running a capacitive discharge system, like MSD or other brand, you should be able to set the gap larger. Check the instructions of your CDI unit.

It's an insane world out there... and I'm proud to be part of it!

Added the .0  :)

It's a stock set up.
