lol... I wanna put it in the weed`s but seeing as the smarter half will be driving it mostly I think I will give it a bit of a rake and freshen up the paint..... I honestly cant beleive there is absolutly no rust on this thing. Tarrah has something planned for the interior..... Going to rip the fuel inj out of it tomorow and put a set of carbs onto it. I`m thinking silver body and black from the bottom of the windows up or flat black with wood panel inserts..... O0

I'm currently working on moving my '75 Bug from Ontario to B.C...and I'm pretty sure it needs an ECU. If you wouldn't mind saving your FI bits, I'm likely to be needing something!

There's absolutely nothing from a Type 3's FI that is interchangeable with your Bug's FI (except for the injector seals). 

Your car does not need a new ECU.  They never go bad, it is always something else.  I have plenty of Bug FI bits if needed.

Well, I would argue the ECU issue. My '75 does not idle when cold, you have to drive the car for a good 30min before it will idle on it's own. We've checked the various sensors, etc according to Bentley, and came up with no issues. We pulled the ECU out of dad's '79 convertible, and my '75 runs like a top with nothing else changed. Dad's '79 won't idle with my '75 ECU.

...having said that, once the '75 makes it's way west, I'd love some help with it!

Because it's in a dozen pieces.. Greg had plans.. took it all apart.. and now there's a stack of parts.

Asked Greg.. he said the computer was dead.. it was mid project he decided to sell.. we took it as it sat.. box of dead parts and all.
Thinking carbs will be easier to control/ maintain.

I was going to put kads on it, and then I got lazy and wanted t work on my other car. The person who had it befor me too the computer apart... not sure why but he did.

Keep the fuel pump off of her, they are worth a bit of money and it works (or so I was told)

Fuel injection works great when working, I would say its far better than YOU setting two carbs up..........Or touching the motor
