Anyone have any experience with the POR 15 Chassiscoat?  I am planning on using it to coat the top and bottom side of the pan and bulk head.  Went on their website which makes me think I should using POR 15 Rust preventative paint rather then the Chassiscoat.

Any help or opinions are appreciated. :-\

I used it quite extensively on my beetle.
My pan got 3 coats top and bottom, inside of the body received 2 coats, bottom of my gas tank etc.
It looks just like it did 3 or 4 years ago and .
In my experience, brushing it on looked just like it was sprayed. A small can goes a LONG way.
Make sure to do apply it in a VERY WELL ventilated area, and try to keep it off your skin. It will NOT come off, it has to wear off.

I'm going to use it again on my next vehicle with out a doubt.

por 15 does work great but does fade in UV. Make sure metal is clean. no grease oil, etc. Then clean with a solvent cleaner.

back in ontario ive seen cars more or less held together with this stuff.... safe doubt it, strong product though i dont know about life span and stuff but im sure its cool for a buncha years

The floor on my daughters 73 beetle is rebuilt with POR15 and fibreglass. It's just as strong as metal when you use the glass. As stated before, get it clean and it will bond well. Net time I redo the interior of a car I'm covering the whole thing with it.

There's also Rustbullet.. Easier to apply, paints over very well. No pretreats, etc.. Just depends at what stage you're doing the coverage too.  FYI.. Rustbullet will be in your hair over a year later if it makes it there.  :laugh:
 It's been about 18 months since I've applied it to the underside of the dc and seems to be standing up pretty well. I did one coat only, some people advise two.
