some thoughts on legal outlines...
« on: October 02, 2008, 09:32:30 PM »
so i have had the idea of building a "tetnis shot" kinda style of bug, curious if anyone would know about if there are any laws about windows... i would imagine you would need a windsheild (safaris though???) like could i run no windows at all?

You have to be able to lower the left window in case your turn signals fail, so you can hand signal.

I believe if you have a windsheild you also need at least one wiper.

I'm not sure what your plan is, but you are required to have at least 2 mirrors to see behind you.  One on your left, and either a rear view mirror on your windshield or one on your right door.

i do not understand how having every cop wanting to pull you over would be fun?

sure...pushing the limit, raising the bar, experimenting and building something different is fun...but to purposely set out to get every cop to want to pull you over...seriously?

well... i'm pretty sure that we're all out to lunch in one way or another...;)

after this post i now understand what you're getting at. i think it was the "no windows at all" and "every cop wanting to pull you over" comments that caught me off guard.
