The guy has to be hard up, that car has to be worth $60,000 or more. Buy it back Geoff. If I had the money I would buy it and enjoy it. I think it is an investment that would only go up in value! I dont think this auction is going to last. Later, Jeff

Yeah he called me a month or so ago and said he needs the room and was thinking of listing it on Ebay, He hasn't even driven it since he bought it.

It will binteresting to see who gets it next, good luck to the bidders!

What a retard the seller is.  He doesn't allow bidders from Canada.

He thinks that because it is made in Canada they are mass produced here.

The bid has increased $1k in two days.  Four days to go.  I don't think it will make the reserve.  Maybe the owner should just take it out and drive it.

Thats cool! Hope the new owner enjoys it!

I am the new owner of this fabulous artwork and I am sooo happy. :D

Since november 2006 I didn't spend one day without looking at this car in a french VW magazine article.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it  for sale on Ebay...

The price was a steal considering the time , skills , passion and guts that did go into it.

I will look after it with geat pride and joy and will keep in touch with you.

The car will stay in L.A for a while until I find a way to register it in France or England.

Amicalement,

Eric

I tried hard  to convince the seller I was serious so to be  allowed to bid from France. ???

I can't wait to drive it now and I am too excited to sleep...  ;D

Congrats, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I built it to be driven so it was kinda sad to see it in storage the last few years.

I couldn't be happier to see it when to someone who will enjoy is the way it was meant to be enjoyed.  You're excited now?  Wait till you see it in person for the first time...  It's a work of art for sure..... Congratulations!

Also congratulations!,  Myself and half a million others would love to see the Heb Rod in person.  My Xmas wish is that you would fly over here this weekend, and drive it in the Beetleball Vegas rally, and show it at Bugorama. Oh well, guess I'll have to visit France someday. (better put it on my bucket list).

Thank you all for your kind words. I know I am a lucky guy and feel like a child at Christmas... :D

I don't plan to bring back the Heb Rod in France immediatly. I may leave it in the US and  use it for one year or two.

I will stay either in California or in Florida where I have good friends that can take care of it

I would love to attend some VW shows in the US if I can work out some free time away from my business.

Cheers,

Eric
