For those of you with car show experience. In the car show world, if a car has had the roof cut off, whether it is a bug or a camaro or whatever, does that classify it as a convertible or just a sedan/coupe with the roof cut off? :-\

I think it would normally put them into a custom/modified class.

In some non-VW events they use the classification "open" for converts and "closed" for sedans and HTs.  No roof would put it in the "open" class.

That's kinda what I thought. If I'm not mistaken, that chop top "rat rod" bug at the GCVWS was in the custom convertible class, which I thought was odd. But I don't know where else it could have gone. Anyways, thanks for answering my question.

As far as that particular car is concerned I would have to say it is a custom sedan not a convertible.  Based simply on the vehicle it was made from.  Hard call to make I guess.
