Volkswagen Pacific was one of the first dealerships on the west coast after Speedway in Victoria.
Their original location was right in downtown Vancouver, Seymour st, I think.  My uncle told me he remembers walking by the new dealer when it just opened.  He stood there looking through the window at the Beetle, thinking to himself, "who the hell would buy that ugly thing"
They then opened up another location at 4444 Lougheed in Burnaby.  One of my cars still has part of the window sticker on it where you can make out the address.
One of the local old guys who shows up at the VW shows was an apprentice at Volkswagen Pacific in 1958.  He's the guy who told me he made his own template for drilling the holes to mount the Aristo-Cast emblem.
They went bust in the early 90s.  Nissans live in the building now.

Volkswagen Pacific closed in 1986, i know one of their parts managers who worked there from 1969- until they closed. one of my cars came from there aswell and i have 2 brand new unused licence plate frames but they are plastic.

I really really really want a Metal Volkswagen Pacific licence plate frame.

OK anyone know when they changed their name to "Volkswagen Pacific Sales"?

Anyone know if "Douglas Volkswagen" became "Speedway Motors" or the other way around?
