I have nothing but carb problems,  I only get Thursday next week to figure what's up forsure,  but will still bring the car down. Even if I only muster a 15 second pass  ::)I'll be there .  now now Brian excuses...excuses ???

I hope we have a nice car count for racing 25+ cars would be nice 40+ would be one of the best ever....

How many DVKK members will be dragin?  Alan, Bruce, Darren K, Darren D, who else did I miss....

Lets have some fun and bring it on.

I'll be racing for the first time!! Sort of getting nervous about it actually. Can anyone here give me some pointers when I get there? I'll be the one in pink.  ;D

One question comes to mind, how do you know what number to put on the side of the car so the tower can see it? What is that number anyways?

While we're talking about it, maybe a review of race track etiquette for myself and anyone who hasn't run down the track in a while , or ever.  First , I learned the hard way once ,  Do Not drive down the pit lanes back wards , in other words , away from the tower. Apparently you must stay to the left as you enter the pit area , then enter the pit lanes from the back driving towards the tower to find a pit spot. (I almost got beat up for this once)
Once in the staging lanes , watch track personnel, they will direct you onto the track and into the burn out box (if you want)  and when to move forward etc.  When the starter directs you to the start line , move up and carefully light only the first staging light , wait for the car in the other lane to light their first light then inch forward to light your second light. Once the other car lights their second light , be ready to go when you see a big flash of yellow because if you wait to see the green , your way to late. If your car breaks on the track pull to the side and stop in hopes of not oiling down the whole track .  I think thats about it . Please add or correct as needed. And lets have a blast!

Good info Hans!

....... and into the burn out box (if you want)  ........
If you have radial street tires, you should stay out of the burnout box.  The tread actually gets water in it, and you bring that forward to the start line.  Then you spin at the line.  Heating street tires doesn't make them grip better like slicks.
For a newbie, eliminating the burnout reduces the things you have to keep track of.
