Contrary to what their site says, you don't need a passport to get into Mexico.  In fact, it is very likely you won't even talk to Mexican Customs & Immigration.

i might have missed it....but i didnt read anywhere on their site where it says "you need a passport to get into mexico"......it just says that a valid passport is needed in tech info for all the classes on the rules & regs page.

whether you can get into mexico with or without a passport might not be important....i think they are just covering their asses by making it a rule to carry one.

It excludes some of the most likely applicants (US and Canadians).  People from other countries do need a passport.

Gary, I saw that a couple of weeks ago.  Not many will be able enter on such short notice.  Then there's the date.  Wouldn't it be nice to end the race a few days before a major event in SoCal?
I disagree with the gas tank rule.  If you want to run with a stock tank, you are pretty much guaranteed to lose the race.  Everyone will have to run a larger than stock tank.
