vintage torsion arm bushing reamer

hey everyone. i found this interesting VW tool under the stairs at my grandpas old shop. sorry the pictures aren't very good i had to use my cellphone camera. i don't know much about it but the wooden case is comes in is stamped vw274b so i checked it out on thesamba.com in the tool archives, it says that its a torsion arm bushing reamer. im not very sure but it looks like something is missing from the case? any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks everyone.
