Retractable Seatbelts
« on: April 11, 2008, 07:28:27 PM »
I have a 1972 superbeetle and it has thoughs non-retracting belt. I was once told that there is a specific golf or something that uses a retractable seatbelt, now I cant remember exactly what model the car was, does anyone know which new style belts will fit or will any kind fit?

Are you talking about the front or back seats? Almost everyone sells 3 point retractable belts for the front. Not sure about the back.

It was 73 or 74 that they started putting retractable frt belts in the beetle. Just rob a set from one of these and your good to go. The only mod you will have to do is drill a small hole in the B piller for the base anchor pin.
