Further to reading Geoff and Jasons posts about the sight being for free etc in the Porn post, i for one feel i have benefitted heaps from the sight over my years of useage so would be willing to chip in a few bucks if there was a tips jar or such like at the big show? im sure this could raise a few worth while beans for all the folks that do stuff for free?

I f not how about an Auction sticky \"similar to that on theHAMB where people who feel they have benefitted from the site could auction either services or stuff, the proceeds of which would go to the site , as a way of saying thanks???

I have tried to avoid having to do this but it sure would be a great help. I pay for it myself and don't expect anyone to donate anything but if you would like to send a buck or two I have a paypal addy to send donations to. If we get a few extra bucks after paying for the site basics we can put the rest towards upgrades and sending Jason a little for some of his work.

Also we have banner add space available for those who want to advertise their non profit sites as well ad business packages.

Let me know your thoughts.

I cetainly have benefitted. Not only with know how and problem solving but, I have met some very awesome individuals on this forum as well as gotten a lot of encouragement.

If there are 1600 + members and a fraction of then were to donate $10.00 it would cover some of the cost. I know that I probably saved my self a few bucks over the couple of years that I have been a member. for the price of a case of beer we could share the cost of the site and perhaps offer a small reward to those who maintained the system all along.

even if most members chipped in $1 it would easily cover the costs, so feel free to come see me at the swap and I will collect your $1 and pass it on the Geoff to cover the costs.
