When Selling A Car
« on: February 27, 2004, 09:48:19 PM »
Here is my pet peeve!! Why is it when you phone others for information on the car they are selling(beetles and buses)do they lie, If you ask them specific questions (on exact areas of the car eg: Hows the lower heater channel, or maybe the floor under the carpet? ect)
Do they always LIE!! how many times i have asked thousands of questions before taking a 6 hour drive to look at a rust bucket! \"oh i never saw that four foot hole before, or,  That is easy to fix you can buy all that. put it on in minutes!\"YAH RIGHT! done it stop your lies!!
Just a pet peeve! just saw another \"Great shape! Wont last long deal\" Wont last long till it is all gone is more like it!  If you have any stories go nuts!!

You've know I've asked this questions about a thousand times myself. I can't even count the number of cars I looked at last years that were rusty peices of crap that the owner told us weren't rusty at all. I came to the conclusion that a lot of people just don't know what they have, and what's wrong with it. They get in their bug they drive it, they never really thought to look at at the heater channels, hell they probably don't even know what those are. Who cares, they're driving a bug.
