I have been looking into some carbs that would see daily driving use, and the carbs I have just won't cut it (I don't have aircleaners, and I can't really detune them :P).

anyways, I'm looking for the following:

IDF's 40's, or 44's, or 48's

dells 36's, or 40's, or 45's, or 48's.

let me know what you have.  carbs must be in great condition.  if you have manifolds, unported ones would be best.  the reason why my range of carbs is so large is because it doesn't matter too much, I just want some webbers that are a little more streetable.

thanks, stephan

There is no such thing as unstreetable webers? Are you talking about IDA's? 48 IDA's are some of the best steet carbs and you can instal air cleaners without much problem, Look at Bruce T's air cleaners.

As for De tuning a carb, you dont de tune them.... rather you re jet and pick the correct venturi for the application and tune them for maximum power (fuel) your engine combo will make.

If you have IDA's Run em!

yes, IDA's are fun carbs.  not looking to do them with my application.

IDF's and Dells is what I'm looking for.

I'm sorry.  I stabbed myself in the back.  what I meant by detuning was changing the jets, vents etc..

I have a set of 36 DRLA Dells with T-1 manifolds and brand new rebuild kits not installed with CB hex linkage and a set of 44mm IDF webers with T-1 Manifolds brand new rebuild kits and chrome linkage AND I just bought new Auxliary veturis and throttle levers.  I just sold both sets of Kadrons I had and I'm narrowing the choices to one set.  I'm not too sure which set I want to keep and which to sell.  I haven't even started building and engine yet..  Wanted to keep my options open..
