I am looking to seal/coat my garage floor in the near future (Jan/Feb) who has used what and what seemed to work the best? There are a number of products out there and I would prefer one that gives excellent antislip properties ( when fluids drop etc..) and one that has a fairly easy clean up for when those fluids do drop :) Durable too!

There's a lot of opinions on this, but I used Behr 2-part epoxy from Home Depot when my garage floor was brand new. 4 years later it looks as good as new (cleans up really nice). I have had no issues with durability or the \"hot tire pickup\" that some claim, but I was very careful to apply as directed. It has no inherent anti-slip properties (such as sand), but I have yet to fall in my garage.
I would absolutely use it again.

I applied a Bher type floor product - 2 stage primer/ paint (not epoxy) last year. It cleaned up well at first ,but now it seems to stain and looks kinda sh*##! It did come with a sand that you mixed into the paint, that part turned out quite well. I never have slipped.
On the whole I think I would try out the epoxy next time.

OR you could always throw down some faux wood laminant flooring... that shit is indestructable! When we bought our current house they had the garage turned into a workout room. So I decided to test it: brake fluid, grease, brake clean, gunk, gas, oil, etc... Nothing penetrates this crap...

Been almost 3 years and nothing can hurt that stuff!

Costco has some decent flooring. looks like checkplate a.b.s. or something. Really cool looking stuff B)

i kinda like the look of the hardwood in there Gavin :D
does oil really clean up off of it ok??

Gee, I like the floor Gavin has. Never thought of that. I have one of the \"higher end\" laminate floors thoughout the house and three kids under 3 years old can't hurt it. Believe me, they have tried.  I might have to pay the \"King of Floors\" and \"Sir Scruffy\" visit.

I use the carpet that came out of the basment when I put laminate down.  Nice and comfy to stand and kneel on.

Do they say anything about applying it to an older floor?
