Rear Adjuster?

Anybody using this   http://www.cip1.ca/ProductDetails.asp?Prod...C26%2D501%2D200   or has it installed on a street car?
Easy to install? Pros/cons?

Hey Gerry,
My only experience is with this piece from aircooled.net It was a sway away part and was beefy as hell!

To install it you have to remove a lot of sheet metal. First remove the transmission mount, then the first layer of torsion bar metal, then another etc. It was a fair bit of work. Also to make it look nice and finished you do have to do some fabbing. In the end, is the result worth it? I don't know yet my cars not assembled nor is my pan. Is it a nice feature to have? I think so. The blue 65 beetle in the for sale has one but it is on a IRS pan. He'd probably be your best bet to ask. I have a few pics I'm sure I could dig up from my install or even the instructions...

seems like alot of work for alot of adjustment. sure it's nice to have 4\"s of adjustability, but is it needed?

will adjustable springplates not work for your application?

Oh ya....adjustable plates will work. I just think this would be a nice feature to have and probably easier to use when installed.

I'm willing to bet you will spend much more time installing that adjuster than you would ever spend manually adjusting the spring plates on the other end after the car is built.

Since were on the topic of adjustable spring plates, how good are the heim spring plate kits? Ive seen them in Hot VWs magazine but never seen anyone running them. Apparently it allows the spring plate to travel farther up and down. You need  a coil rear suspension for it to work. Hopefully you guys know the ones Im talking about cause I dont know how to post pics yet. :huh:
