The Interesting Part Of My Job

Had to go look into an electrical fire today at a berry processing plant. One of the two services went up in smoke.




Here was the starting point. This was a 600 amp 480 volt breaker.

holy crap! I'm a sparky in training and I still have yet to see something like that, jeeeze... I've seen a panel fire caused by an arc-fault breaker but that was nothing compared to this. Interesting stuff...

I am an electrician and I have seen stuff like that.  In a house no less and the owner managed to put it out in time.  It was one stinky ugly clean up and repair for me.

What Blarneyman forgot to mention is that HE installed that box... This is a warranty job for him!
