attention...

to all the owners of stock motored acvws (beetles, buses, trucks, ghias, t34's, notches, fastbacks, squarebacks, things, fridolins, buggies, hebs, coachbuilts, trikes, sandrails, et al)...

the stock motor challenge will run again this year at the dvkk sponsored strip show at the friday night street legals in mission on august 17th.

everyone with an acvw powered by a stock displacement motor is welcome and encouraged to participate.

just like last year...the name of the game is fun.

a side note to mention is that the only way dual carbs are allowed in the class is if the car came with them stock from the factory (i believe some type 3's had dual carbs as stock equipment...someone please correct me if i'm wrong)...otherwise the rules are simple and stated for all to see.

i will be there with my black 64 sunroof and all participants must bring their time slips to me so i can record the rt, et & mph of each run. like last year, i will be parked in the pits right beside jim martin and his big grey enclosed trailer & green & gold suburban so it will be easy to find me.

remember, if you run 100kmh or faster in the 1/4 mile you are automatically a member of a very unique and elite club.... B)

last year was an absolute blast and it was so great to see so many people participate and have so much fun. if you've ever thought of giving the 1/4 a try in your stocker, but never have, this is a great opportunity to try it out and have some fun with a bunch of other acvw owners.

Ratbus will be basting Butterball...if Butterball can get off the BBQ long enough to run down the track!!!
consider this the second official challenge!!

I think I called out Silas a few months back for the first one. But I think Ratbus scared him...hey Mr.Black 64 sunroof, think you can catch a bus...come on... we'll have a Rat Race.

me thinks I should bring xtra fuel...and... the secret weapons!!! :unsure:

silas, you rip sh!t up for doing this once again. it was soooooo much fun last year, and to anyone even remotely considering taking the plunge, i say.... DO IT!!!!

that being said, even tho brakes are sorted, i been informed i've got a squirley ball joint and won't be able to make any passes this year. will be there cheering on all the SM challengers on tho, wishing i was lining up next to ya.
