Few Pics
« on: July 25, 2007, 09:32:30 PM »
Thought I'd take a few pics before I yank the motor out. The car developed a strange knock and it looks like it needs to come out to determine what the problem is....I suspect a rod bearing. Anyway aside from that I have a couple of minor electrical issues to deal with and a good once over everything and its about done. Not sure how big of a setback this is going to be but I'm still gonna push for the show in Aug.

It looks great!! I hope that knock isn't as bad as you suspect.

I really like the powdercoated (?) fan. Nice change up from the popular fully polished.

Ya, the knock is unfortunate but a certian ASF member has stepped up and offered to help me out...i really can't say how much I appreciate it.
That fan is painted not powdercoated...I had to order some special etch primer from work but it seems to be sticking nicely.

YA, the nitrous is there but not fully functional right now and might not be be this year as I have some changes to make to the system and bigger things to worry about....like just getting it to the show!

Thanks guys.
I did get the WW bumpers about 2 weeks ago and they are pretty nice! I have a W-decklid for the car which is painted but i got a good deal on another W-lid that needed some work and I decided I'd weld in the convertable grills. I'm finished with the first blocking of primer and it looks good...now it just needs a reprime...block and paint.
Silas...I actually don't like the sprint stars that much....or maybe it,s just the front tires..anyway something about it I don't like. I have the natural BRM's with 135's and DOT slicks which will probably be mounted on the car most of the time.

I know .I'll bet as soon as you finish it ,you'll spray a little spot of primer on the fender to make it look like you're not quite finished yet.....  :P
