Well, after a long fustrating day and the help of a very patient Geoff Peterson I finally got to fire up the oval today. It started out with a leaky gas tank (looks like i'm painting my spare tank this week) and eventually ended up replacing the fuel line ,removing one of the carbs.  After some cranking with the coil wire off we decided we would go for it....It fired up instantly and idled very smoothly without having to touch a thing. I must say I could hardly contain myself. There is alot more to do but i'm hoping I can have it on the road in the next few weeks....my bumpers should be here early this week....It's looking good!
Huge thanks to Geoff....without his help my car would not see the road this year!

Awesome! just remember to keep the valve covers attached!The oil works better INSIDE the motor :blush:

Gary, I remember you telling me that story last year...atleast you can laugh at it now. I do have an oil leak aroung the oil pump cover that I have to address next weekend....that seems to be it so far....keeping my finger crossed tho!
