I was not trying to offend anyone.
Just curious on what it sold for, as this car had alot of nice custom features,magazine coverage etc.
My guess $40,000usa dollars plus.
I respect not disclosing the actual amount.

The guy & girl in the brown shirts owned the super clean Texas brown split.They just sold that for around $40K

probably cost that much if not more to build. imho, that was pretty close to the best looking acvw anyone could ever build. a very pleasant mix of resto-custom with period correct accesories all on a fine original ragtop split window.

afaik, randy gates' cal-look split sold for about the same amount. and i think the same guy owns both cars!!!!

LOL, yeah I know I just got that flyer. No VW's for me for a while, This 31 Ford is my main project and hope to be done for the end of May. Then there's a bunch more so I don't know when I'll get back to something for myself.
