It is called Polar Silver .........any paint company can search it from that. Just make sure you get the Porsche one.

I think that polar silver was a vw only colour, but could be wrong. Porsche made a bunch of different silvers through the years.

Here are some early paint code listings.

http://www.356-911.com/modelinfo/911colour.../911colours.htm SWB early 64 - 69

http://www.356-911.com/modelinfo/911colour...colours6970.htm SWB 69 - 70

http://www.356-911.com/modelinfo/911colour...colours7173.htm LWB 71 - 73

From 74 on you'll have to look up 911, 911 - 3.2, 930, 964, 993, 996

I think the current silvers (997) are - Arctic Silver and GT Silver

Hope this helps

I did spray Porsche polar silver on my notchback. It is a little more blue than the VW one. L92E PPG code is 35273

My 56 beetle was sprayed with the color you are looking for a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure I have the codes you want.

When I was picking a color, I found some great pictures of Polar Silber on some old 356's, that's what sold me. I get complimented on the color all the time. It is a hard color to capture with a camera/ on the internet. In one light it looks silver, another blue.

There are 2 variations in the Porsche line of colors. Polar Silver, and Polar Silber. The paint guy I spoke to when getting some touch up paint brought in both variations for me. Polar Silver ... which is VERY silver, and Polar Silber which is the blue version.

If you want to see it in person, let me know and we can hook up.

Cheers,
Joel
