Dyno Day Smack Talk..
« on: February 09, 2004, 06:31:52 PM »
So Dyno day is like 4 months away.
The smack talk should start soon..
Paul(Pipes and I) have a bet that I'm going to make more HP if my car is running by then.
James are you going to make it out?
130 days..

yes Kdog I will be there - I've been itching to dyno my 1915 for awhile now.

Alright alright. I can't afford fancy race weight fibreglass fenders..
but aren't stock ones light enough?
Are you going to run a complete interior with all the trimmings? And sounddeadening?
Just interested...
I like metal preferably because you can almost fix anything made out of it.

Sounds like someone has never had the luxury of grinding fiberglass........

The only boat on this site is Brian's ghia!

Race weight fenders are 2lbs each
Yes I will have an interior - Even gonna have a baby seat - fully equipped with a 5 point harness!

How much do stock fenders weigh?
Not that it really matters. Dynos read hp not times(like drag racing)
Still though will be pretty interesting to see what your engine puts out compared to mine..
I guess If I really wanted to save weight I should strip my paint job off huh? Save a couple ounces :P

You call that faded thing a paint job? Macco right?
Stock fenders are around 10 each I believe. (I'm sure someone will correct me on that)

Wait a sec?
Why don't you just primer your car.. and then block sand  it down that way you save even more weight.. hmm I got to try that!

fiberglass = FUN AND WEIGHT REDUCTION!

if I had the money, I'd do a few fiberglass pieces on a race car.  but for daily driving on the street, I prefer to have a stronger hold incase of an accident!

1800 lbs and the want to get lighter? The way I drive I better have metal fenders because I don't want to be punching rocks through it:P
