what color were the buckets painted from the factory? were they silver beige or? right now they're powdercoated bright white and kinda stick out against the green

Most of the ones i've seen are grey or black.

i think most were silver i had mine zinc plated and it looks pretty original to me

Kind of primery gray/silver

Earlier headlight buckets were black on the outer side of the bucket with silver or white lettering, and silver on the inside. Later buckets were a low gloss grey on both sides with blue inkstamped lettering. Black and silver versions should have the screw terminals as did some of the grey buckets. Adjusting screw location varied by manufacturer and year of production.

For an Oval they should be Black and silver.

Well the part numbers are a bit of a giveaway once you understand them. But mostly I rarely do anything with a part without researching it.

Plus I don't sleep much.
