Can Someone With An Early Car Check ....

if the E-brake cable enters the backing plate to the front of the car or do they wrap around to the rear?
on my '63 they come into the front of the plate and the sheathing on the cable is much shorter than the ones that came on the 57. It works this way but looks really goofy how it was set up. is it just a matter of finding some shorter cables and swapping the backing plates left to right?
thanks josh

the cables do come in from the rear of the backing plates.
if you are running a different trans then the backing plates are swapped sise to side and the cables should work just fine

rear of backing plates is rear of car.
with a different trans you will be running later style backing plates meaning they come in from the front side of the car.in order for the cables to fit and them to enter from the rear of the car the backing plates have to be swapped side to side.hope that makes sense

makes sense, that's what I figured, so what year of e-brake cables have the shorter sheithing part to run them in from the front? All the pics on cip look the same length, I don't know mabey they just use the same genaric pic for all the cables
