Speaking with a Ford Tech last week, He quit due to all the crappy work he had to do on the Trucks. Seems For set the Trucks up with lbs of boost and it's streching the head bolts (No biggie as it's covered under warrenty) But people are putting in a chip and now the boost go's up and the head warps twice as fast...no warrenty. This is on the 6L motors and now Ford has a 6.4L Turbo motor that get this.....The engine makes so much heat and with not enough heat sheilds the dash will start to melt! Big recall on the way.

Ummm don't they test vehicles anymore?

Still ther Fords are at the Top of the list for power.

I was talking to a ford deisel tech myself about 2 months ago, as my brother has a 04 F250 Harley Davidson Super Duty with Banks power upgrades, and the guy was saying that the new diesels are way to complicated with the new 3 piece oil pans and way more parts then the previous 7.3L's. He said hes replaced plenty of blown turbos at 25-50000kms.

I cant remember exactly but he was saying that they are set up as it is at the max and do not respond well to more boost.

as far as appearence is converned, i wouldnt be. Its made to haul shit and work hard, who cares what it looks like.

I just searched the melting Dash on the interweb and no such thing came up, But If it happens I will take pictures ;)
As far as the Tech, You would think he would be happy with the problems because that is what he is employed for? No problems no job??
Don't matter to me. Truck rocks and needs no chip..

Years ago, My Grandfather in Pentiction and I planted a tree... Every time I would go visit there would be some sort of money on the branches..
So when m Grandfather died, I dug up the tree and brought it back to Langley where I planted it in my back yard. Every year I go out when it is ripe and take the money off the tree. The key is to not pick it too early as the $1 coins turn into $20 bills when ripe

I have one of those trees also. After picking the money I have to walk through the garage to load up my truck. The problem is there is this pit in my garage that all the money falls into every time I pick some.
