4th Annual Cruise For The Cure
« on: April 02, 2007, 06:18:00 PM »
The Dglvk did this event and sponsered it last year. It is a great event for a great cause....

The Date: May 6th. as always the first Sunday in May.
The Start: Courtyard Marriot in Federal Way 320th St Exit
The Meet: Start showing up by 8:00 am
The Departure: 10:00 am
We will finish up at Lake Sammamish State Park. Silent auction, raffle and donations. Bring lots of money and buy lots of tickets or just fill the donation jars.
This year the charity is The Arthritis Foundation Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in honor of one of our own: Sadie Jordan, Bill Jordan's daughter. Make checks out to 'The Arthritis Foundation'
Host Hotel information:
http://www.franklinsvwwerks.com/phpbb/view...pic.php?t=10310

We can get more rooms if these fill fast.

We will post more details as the planning continues. Reserve Sunday May 6th for CFTC.

How long is the cruise? mapquest shows the start and finish relatively close but do they go for a long tour around Seattle?

Cruise was not too long and this year I think they are making it a bit shorter .... Host hotel only has 3 days left to reserve, They also got Media sponsership this year so it is gonna be huge,,, and on TV

no passport needed as of yet to drive across the border, they are talking about Jan 2008 or 2009 for that.
Only need it to fly at the moment.

i've got a question for those people planning on heading down for this great event (those that have and have not posted)....

- who are you?
- what are you driving?
- when are you planning on heading down?

an acvw caravan there & back would be cool. i'm going to try & make this. i'll be driving my 64, and i have yet to decide if i'll leave saturday afternoon or early sunday morning.
