After 10 long years, 30+ or so \"almost\" buys, I found \"the one\". A CHOICE 1967 vert with all the correct parts. All the \"shoulda coulda\" buys it was timing that paid off. A friend of mine picked this up in Texas for $3,000usd with the BRM's, built 3.88r&p Weddle mainshaft tranny, full Autometer gauges, Scat shifter, Grant steering wheel, correct 67' rear decklid, new brakes, new drop spindles, new tires and a narrowed beam with avis adjusters. So after some hounding, I picked it up for $4500 incl all new wood bows, and new top for it incl the padding. I AM looking for a 65-? convertible top mechanism so if anyone knows of one please let me know. This one is VERY rusty and most of the front is missing due to rust.
Here's how I picked her up.... (the car, not my wife lol)

And here's my new wheels that I've saved for whatever vert I picked up. Orig 4 1/2's and deep 6's with disk brakes and drop spindles.

Let's just say I'm like a kid in a candy store with this car!

I've since added my Empi GTV (Flat4) steering wheel, my new prototype shifter that will be available this spring (like a berg), new carpet, and trying like hell to finish my 1915 w/ NOS for it. Motor went 12.82 @ 103 running out of gas about 100ft before the stripe so she should haul arse in my vert especially with the nitrous. Maybe I'll be driving this up there this year!
