No Spark?

I should know this but for some reason I can't comprehend why this is happening.

I have no spark at the plugs so I took a step back and tried the main wire from the coil to the distributor and no spark there. Where does the coil get its power from to generate spark? The motor turns over like mad hell, fuel pump pumps fuel from a can, just need to figure out this spark thing and I think the blue 63 Notch is a runner!

You'll need battery voltage at the  + side of the coil  . condenser on the - side . points that open and close.
you were right , you can pull off the coil wire from the cap and check for spark near a good ground( not the fuel pump)
If ya have good power to the coil but no spark at the coil wire , one or more of those pieces is not doing it's job.
