What a stupid waste of money. Put that much into the engine and trans and you'll have a drag bug.

I bet that the guy who built this car thinks he did build a nice car, a nice car that does exactly what he wants it to do. How is that possibly a waste of money? To the guy that built this car, spending $20,000 on an egine to make a car get to the end of a quarter mile quickly might seem like a big waste of money. Why spend all that money on an engine when you could take that money and make the car dance? I don't particularly like hoppers, but to call some guys car stupid and a waste of money is closed minded and arrogant.

I only think it is stupid IF the car doesn't really work as a car ..I have no problem with spending crazy loot on a car you can actually drive! ;)

My point is he built the car how he wanted it. It would seem that he wanted it to hop so it hops. If a hopping car that can't be driven makes him happy then so be it. Is it really any different than a collector that spends countless thousands restoring a car only to lock it in a showroom and never see a road again? I myself would never build a car  to be used or not used as either of these examples but that doesn't make either one of them stupid or a waste of money. It's all about building cars to be enjoyed how you want to enjoy them. The world would be pretty damn boring if everyone built the same car for the same purpose.
