From the ones I've seen they're all just lowered-beyond-drivability and they're pieces of rusted out shit. Not to mention a few of their members are major douche-bags. But that's just my opinion.

I think they look pretty cool, kinda different.  I'd prefer my vw to be rust free tho.....

i'm not a fan.

i've seen more unsafe hoodrides than safe ones and that is my biggest concern. it's one thing to drive a car with surface rust and a few dents, but completey rusted out heater channels and duct taped back windows dont cut it. there was a pic of one with the lower half of the bottom beam on the front ground down to pretty much nothing. irresponsible and juevenile are 2 words that i associate with the whole hoodride \"movement\".

which brings up another topic. the whole \"movement\" seems too be trying so hard to be different and unique that they have ultimately become carbon copies of one-another.

victims of their own success.

just my $.02

1) For a bunch of guys that are trying to portray the 'I don't give a shit' image, they sure are trying WAY too hard.
2) A 'stencil' shouldn't define your identity.
3) It would be cool movement, if only it wasn't started by a belligerent blow hard thief (and that's just the sidekick).

But other than that, it's all good.

I just don't like the idea of wearing a hood while I ride.......

so true. for a bunch of guys striving to be unique, the irony of the following made me giggle:

bunch of sheep, if you ask me.
Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.

i like it, altho like said above some go to far, i like it when the surface rust and dents are confined to the body not the pan and everything else.  its a pan off resto without the body work

some people get carried away with the stencils, personaly i just like making them in photoshop, its fun for me
