Well I just got back from the most amazing trip ever, a trip of a lifetime for a gear head like me. Last Wed my Brother and I headed out with the Heb Rod in tow, keep in mind it was snowing and almost a white out in areas. We were headed to So Cal to deliver the car to it's new owner. We had a few hour lay over at the border while we took care of all the paperwork, in that time the roads got much worse.
If you didn't have to drive that night you shouldn't have been out. The I-5 had 2 inches of ice and packed snow all the way from the border half way to Seattle! Talk about stress!! 25 miles per hour all that way, cars in ditches every few miles and all I could think about was ending up with the same fate.
After a few slow miles things cleared up and we were upto speed and well on the way to Cal. We arrived 26 hours from when we departed and it was warm and clear sky. Once morning came it was 20+ and later upto 24+ all week. This is winter in LA?

Christmas lights on palm trees and Xmas tunes on the radio just don't seem right.
We met up with our friend Bo and checked out some local shops. While having lunch a bunch of guys from Wyotech were checkin out the Heb. \"Wheels\" soon invited us over to Lanzini's Body Werks to check out the Overhaulin car. Mitch Lanzini, What can I say.. This guy is one in a million! He and his entire crew are just the best bunch of people you could ever meet. Mitch, Lori,Walt, Jessie and the crew welcomed us into the build and let us be a part of the last episode (Overhaulin may not be back next year...I hope thats not true) As well there was a husband and wife team from Ohio there to help with the build. These two worked their asses off all week, great people!
More later...
