Operation Xmas Family!

It's that time of year again!

there are families in the community that could really use a helping hand; I have again got the ball rolling for a family "adoption".

The last two years we collected hundreds of dollars which not only put food on the table and in the cupboards but presents under the tree for the entire family! This year let

James, Erin and I are in again. Christmas should be about the giving after all :)

Need to figure out a time/place to get you the $$.

Thanks for being the ones to make sure this happens every year!

Thanks to James and Cindy for organizing this year after year.
Everyone has so much to do this time of year, and yet you guys always remind us that we do want to make it a special time of year for those who might otherwise go without, and then you give us a way to do it.

I'm always in for shopping if you need help! Just say the word when it is time.

can't say it enough but
kudos again......

James,

I am in for some cash, and depending on my schedule, may be able to help out shopping, etc.  Let me know when you all are going to do that.

Whelp here is the low-down on what is going on.

The Bad news:

I just got off the phone with the Xmas Bureau in langley who we have donated thru the last two years. It seem that this year they are "streamlining" the system and some how our groups information didn't get included in the process. The Hamper delivery date ss tomorrow and we do not have a family this year.

The Good news:

People who do want to help can still donate cash to the bureau and recieve a tax reciept (another new thing this year) and they can really use such donations. The contact information can be found at http://www.langleychristmasbureau.com/index.html (New website this year)

My apologies to everyone that things didn't work out this year.

For those of you that have Paypal'd cash I will return that today.

Thats a rather unfortunate turn of events. however, there is a silver lining, many other organizations could now benefit from the fine folk here at the ASF.
I encourage everyone to take that donation you were going to give, and still give it.
The food banks in your local area could make great use of your money, usually with 3 times the buying power. Merry Christmas.

:!:  Perfect idea, 100 bucks at the food bank is 300 in buying power for them!
