Trying to find some temporary shelters for the horses in Salmon Arm and am considering using Costco shelters for cars. Anyone got one I can look at?

me and my family built one, some simple math and pvc piping, plus you can make it any size you want

I have 2 of them tie together (side by side) for a couple cars. Last night I had to tie them down to a couple railroad ties that I use for fence posts. The wind picked up both of them and moved them about 5'. I also had a 16\" diameter tree snap in half.

Still without power this morning (running off a generator).

i had one too but the wind took it away taking out our boat and my neighbors sundeck i had it bolted to the concrete driveway and strapped to the boat to keep it down but its now in pieces in my driveway i need 6 new posts or legs im going to check with producers to find out how much for posts or bye a new one in the states they are cheeper down there

I bought a costco cover in the spring of the year. It had stood up great until yesterday.It was anchored down very well and still took off like a kite. Smashed the front window out of my collectore car. Took out two of the neighbours aluminum rain gutters and needless to say there is no usable parts left. It was $207.00 all in at costco in the spring of this year. I will buy another one if availabe.

with all the vehicle and property damage that has occured because of the weather and these \"tents\", i'd almost consider some other kind of storage.

I was thinking the same thing Silas. There are 2 things that come to mind J.

1. I've never heard of anyone around here that has lost one of those shelters from wind.(and you know as well as me what the winds get like up by your house)

2. We're talking about living animals not cars. Horses are amazing animals when it comes to storms. They wouldn't be in the shelter during a storm. They'd be on the hillside with their buts into the wind chillin'.

My home built cover has lasted 3 years J. but I'm not on an open hillside. My biggest concern would be the damn animals kicking the crap outta it or eating it.
