Dead Beats On The Net
« on: November 13, 2006, 06:52:49 PM »
Anyone ever done a transaction via Ebay, and Paypal, and never recieved the part you purchased? The Porsche Fuch wheels I bought back on  Sept. 28 have never arrived, and the seller took my money and ran. I have his ph#, but now he no longer answers my calls or returns messages.  He also hasn't been able to provide a tracking # even though he claims he sent them out. They were supposed to be drop shipped via UPS to WI, where my friend was gonna pick them up at his buddies shop.
I made a claim with Paypal, and after they did their investigation they found the case in my favour, but only refunded me $200 US minus a $25 processing fee. I paid approx. $840 US for these things, so obviously I'm still choked. I funded it through my bank account and not my CC, so I know that was a big mistake on my part.
The guy is no longer a registered member on Ebay, so that says it all I guess. Ebay washed their hands of it cause I used Paypal to make the payment. I have tried locating him, but all he gave me was a cell # which he no longer answers cause I'm sure cause he has call display (goes straight to voice mail after ringing for a while)
Any other suggestions?? (besides going to Texas, and kicking his nuts into his throat?)
If anyone wants to try to contact this scum bag, his name is Kevin Morris, and he is from Houston Texas. Ph# is 832 875-5555.  Or if anyone knows someone down there that has some \"influence\", I'm willing to provide a $200 reward.

I suggest you post this all over every VW/Porsche related forum, store site, etc.  At least you will cause him grief and possibly more financial damage than he did to you.

Personally, I would rather lose a few hundred bucks than to be known all over as a roach. B)

i vote for this one...

have you posted anything on thesamba.com about this? i know that despite the odd peice of riff-raff that is on that site, there are some decent folks who dont like hearing about people in the acvw community getting ripped off and are very into helping out track down the culprit. plus it's a little more \"worldwide\", so there should be alot of size 12 cowboy boot wearing texans wanting to get in on an old fashioned lynching. i'm dead serious btw.

i tried calling him and there was no ringing, it went directly to his voice mail (santeria, sublime song). i'll try him again later.

He isn't a VW guy from what I gathered, but maybe someone down there in the VW scene can help a brother out.
Already started doing the posting on other sites including The mighty Samba.  I'm wondering what are some of the better P-car websites to post this on?  Does texas have any big VW/Porsche club websites?
I don't wanna see the POS doing this same trick to another guy.

BTW, Silas, that is his ring. When I was able to reach him for the first little while and actually have a conversation, that's all I ever heard before he picked up (some kinda fancy ringtone I guess  ) Thanks for trying man. B)

I actually have a friend in Houston.  I'll give him a ring and fill him in.  He's one Big MF'er.  He'll eat this up.

That really sucks, VW guys are all over the place and he is not one. The good thing is that other VW guys down there may know who was trying to sell those wheels.

I have been burned a couple of times but with small stuff. For big stuff from the US I would use a US Money order as it is a Federal offence involving the US Postal Services  and  they can trace it. The guy will have the Feds after him.

i thought paypal had a buyer protection plan. if you've paid for the item without receiving the product, SUE HIS ASS]
take him on judge judy or some other daytime tv court show. if you already have a ruling in your favor, then he shouldn't be surprised when he gets served with a subpoena. just a thought .  :D

i'm off work sick, and bored as hell. so i left him a message, and think calling him daily might serve as my entertainment for the week.  ;)
Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.

Thanks for the support on this one guys (and gal ^_^ ) It couldn't hurt if others phone him just to add a bit of pressure on him. I'm suprised he hasn't blocked my # yet.  His email also hasn't kicked my emails back, but he may not check it that often.
BTW here is his email addy too.  ]:(

Thanks to one of our great VW friends on the Samba I have been provided with his Myspace page.
I'm 99% sure this is the guy. I know he has one kid, and he's not married, and he has the same email address as the Kevin Morris, I was dealing with. The age also seems to be correct.
