Schwimmwagen Near Completion...
« on: January 28, 2006, 12:03:30 AM »
Here are a few links to pics of the 44 Schwimmwagen. Once I have a few more items painted it'll head home for final assembly and logos, numbers, camo, etc. All I have to say is that Schwimmwagens are hard to do. ;)

ugh, these are not easy, not always fun, heavy duty and TEDIOUS. Fortunately the owner had insisted on leaving imperfections... His last Schwimmwagen (!!!) was so nice that he wouldn't drive it. He already drove this one into a tree at a WW2 reenactment and will try to avoid trees from now on- but will still participate. Blanks for the machine gun cost 50cents each!

BTW- this is a hotrod Schwimm, it runs an early 36 hp engine- partially why he hit a tree... They aren't supposed to be \"fast\".  B)
If you want it bad, you'll get it bad- The worse you want it the worse it will be!
