I just bought a rail with a reduction box and was told i shouldnt tow with it? would it matter in neutral?

I don't see why it would be a problem, it's all turning anyway, whether your driving it or towing it. I towed a baja with reduction boxes 100 miles at highway speed with no problems.

I don't see a problem. Just don't flat tow it without a motor on it.
Hard on the input shaft coupler and snap ring.
