Feather Weight With A Cage
« on: November 01, 2004, 11:04:51 AM »
B) Ok here is one i've been pondering. Wieght advantages of going to Fiberglass body panels is there any or do they run pretty close in weight? I have to put new pan halves in my car, and thinking of just laying down a sheet of fiberglass instead. My seats will be attached to the cage and I can brace the floor that way to. by looping a strap over the bottom cage bars. but will  this serve as a weight advantage or just be good for anti corrosion. I'm also looking at fiber fenders and a hood. same question? Is anybody in the know about this.
