A Big Thank You....

to airspeed, dvkk, the bulli boys, dglvk, all the volunteers and everyone else who had a part in putting together the gcvws, the airspeed open house and the drag racing. it was a great weekend. flawless.

special thanks to all the guys who toted my carless ass around all weekend. jim martin in the suburban babe slayer. tod mckonkey in the freshly gov. inspected 56 gmc stepside. and alan uyeno. i was fortunate enough to catch a ride with alan all the way back to vancouver in his 65. not only my first ride in a bug in a long time, but also my first ride in an 11 second car. it kicks ass. alan \"got on it\" a few times and i got to experience what it's all about. a street driven car that kicks you in the nuts, but keeps you coming back for more.

now to some, it may not seem like a big deal. but to me it was the perfect cap to a perfect weekend.

this is why i always recommend attending the gcvws weekend to anyone i meet in person or online. it's a great weekend with great people and some great cars.

thank you all again.

It was definately another top notch event. Year after year it seems to get better and better.
Althgough I came home with all of the large items I wanted to sell today, I also came home with a 911 fan/alternator. Good day for me.

It was a pleasure to meet so many of you this weekend. I have finally met so many people this weekend that I've been introduced through this forum and others. Truly an amazing group of great people. The support for our hobby is so apparent with enthusiasm when we babble about Vdubs and talk bench racing.

Locally the aircooled VW scene has been steadily  growing and its nice to see so many enthusiast all together at the GCVW show. Hats off to the organizers of this huge event. Its nice to see one of the largest ACVW events/weekends in Canada is in our own backyard!

Spectacular weekend but the heat stroke sure beats ya to death!!!

Silas next time bring some earplugs. I hope your ears aren't ringing still  ;)  damn noisy car

Yes !!! awesome weekend!!  Thanks so much to all of you who worked so hard to put on this whole weekend.  Allways great to meet so many people and many faces from the past aswell.
Only two things would have made it even better.
     - to see Jims chop there(finished or not)
     - to get a ride in Alan's car too

Best one yet! A huge Thank-You and Congratulations to DVKK,Bulli Boys and all the Sponsors for a great event. This just reaffirms our need as a community to support the companies that support this kind of show, without them we wouldn't have it! Also to the volunteers without them it would have been pretty tough to get things going!

It was awsome to see the huge amount of out of town cars - I guess after 13 years of great shows word gets out that it's a must do event on the VW calander!

So thanks again for the weekend, sunburn and fun - see EVERYONE next year!
