Very nice!  I like the fogs on the bumper; Are they functional?  Any more pictures of this beauty?

Oh soooo stock.. Anything that hasn't been done to alter to as of yet won't be done..
The exceptions will be the bed (which is alum. checkerbrd) and maybe the headliner later on.. need to redo it, but not sure what I want to do yet.

Haha.. Umm what would a first born be worth?

I put the deposit on her almost to the day of the 6 year anniversary of selling my Casper. It's a big deal for me to have VW in my life again.
:(  Nearly 2200 days without a dub. Gawwwwd.. NEVER again.
I am soo incredibly glad I    something I drive again.

Did you get the paint work done, from shipping damage? If so where did you go in the end?

Yes.. her first bubba was her first tank of gas.

Nope.. paint not done yet.. Have it tentativly scheduled for early March. Stephan's going to be doing the work for me.
I have a couple odds and sodds to do on her before she gets paint.. Easier to have the paint done after she gets her tinkering done.

Tracking down either vw keys or new locks right now.. I can't lock my driver door, so have to park it indoors for the time being.
If anyone knows of a shiny good looking set, let me know ;) May have a lead.

What's the matter with your locks? You can take the handles in to any good locksmith and they can rekey them all the same. When I got my 67 bus I dismantled all the locks myself, and found that I had two different key patterns, plus the ign key. My local locksmith re-did them so they all work with the ign key. Cost maybe $50-60.

Not sure yet if its the door mechanism or the tumbler on the drivers side. Will find out soon enough ;) The handles will need to be rechromed if I rekey them as they are pretty pitted. So if I can find a shiny set to rekey, that would be better.
I also need some orginal steel keys.

Sweet DC!

If you're looking for side gates, Gerson from Klassicfab makes some wicked repro's.  Good price, but they take a while to fab up.
