i'm pretty sure alan has one. i have one but i haven't installed it yet

a few of the guys in the club have them and have used them. Alan, Cameron, Darren D, K-roc, Lanny, Jim Coma, Merko. I've got one in my car - just need the time to tune now, I know it is no where near where it needs to be for A/F. I think that Jim martin has the most tuning time in with his.

school is in  :D try the link below and lets see if it opens ,if it does i will move it and can discuss it elsewhere

the possible items to log are endless , but there are 3 items that are a must.
1st -obvious ,lambda (A/F RATIO)
2nd-rpm
3rd -clutch on/off
next are
4th -system voltage
5th-acceleration rate
6th-forced induction input

with the first three items you will be able to plot improvements by monitering basic time accelerating  between shifts.the 4th,5th and 6th items are the next level of monitering that will take the way you tune a car up one level as you can see how A/F ratios and other changes relate to acceleration rate and log each change and review the increase or decrease in performance.
other items i have logged , ignition retard,engine bay tempature,inlet tempature , oil tempature,frt and rear suspension squat,secret nitrous stuff :D ,fuel pressure,throttle position . and more
you can see there are many things you can do so i would also recomend breaking it down into one main learning item at a time ,eg basic tuning/then performance tuning/then vehicle setup/then the fine tune.

also you need to remember you are working with a max of 5 v input and you need to use certain protection devises as well as other electronic tricks to protect your lm1 from damage do to over voltage,voltage spikes and RF noise etc
-the original program that came out when lm1's were first intriduced is the easiest to use and that is the one i use on my lap top at the track or on the road as it is faster and easier to navigate through ,the logworks program is overkill unless you are really into electronics etc and can be a bit to much at times.if you want it i can try burning one for you

to bad .crapo, i was afraid of that,because i have all the lm1 programs loaded on my computer it displays correct when i click on the link,will have to work on this

alt + prt scr key will copy the active window and then you can go into paint or any basic image program and use the paste function under edit and it will paste the image of the window into the document. Save it and then upload it to your favourite host and away you go.

Hey Silas,
The .log file that Jim posted a link to, requires Innovate Motorsports Logworks2 software, to view. It's a free download, with several sample .log files enclosed, to play around with. But I suggest that you download the Logworks2 Manual instead, and see all the cool features that are available with Innovate's software package.  Both the LM1, and LC1, generate .log files.

I'm running Innovate LC1 / XD1 combo, with a laptop computer for logging data. I got my car through AirCare, with these very useful tools. I posted a message, about passing AirCare, on this forum, back in August 06.

i'm glad you guys have got it working.

note:you need to add 550 rpm to all readings .
play around with all the tools just remember when you link off and it asks if you want to save from original version say no.

silas you were there you tell me what you think the e.t was on that run?

here is some tips /neet things
click on file ,then playback and you will see my live data screen and it plays back the complete run ,very cool
-use the magnifing glass to expand or shrink any value.
-smooth individual tracks
-every 0.3 volts is 1 deg timing retard
-you can remove a data box by first clicking on the clock symbol then the data box ,as well as then you can click and add one wherever you want.

-the reason i chose this saved log is because it really is a good example of what can be learned from reviewing your data .then taking that info and make changes based from it before your next run.
when i look at this log there is alot of info there ,anyone want to take a guess at some good points that could be learned from it and recomend what they would change after reviewing it.

bear with me here, i'm still getting used to reading these graphs and interpreting all the data.

looks like a high 11 or low 12 second pass?

using 4 gears, running rich, and not making max power in 4th?

take out a bit of fuel pressure. shift at a lower rpm (6700-ish) in 1st & 2nd. maybe lengthen the nos build time and increase nos start power and final power.

what is the ideal afr you are shooting for? 11.5 to 13?
