This car runs and drives- OG 36 horse and all- but needs brakes, rust repair and minor attention here and there... Poor interior, brand new top which works great. Bias ply tires, adjustable beam. Rusty heater channels! New floors installed that need welded yet! No headliner, no carpet, poor seat covers, no spare tire well, needs driver door work to keep glass in! On the brighter side, accessories!- ALL 100% factory black paint!! Very classy deluxe model 59 ragtop in case you have to have the top of the line! This car comes with extra 1959 VW Beetle heater channel/qtr sections that are blasted and etch primed just ready for the welder!!

Hey- At Vintage? I was there all day selling stuff out of my 56 singlecab... Were you at the show?
I didn't buy this car till August. I haven't had it that long- just long enough to know that I need to downsize, not upgrade! I am going to sell the single soon too as well as my 58 hardtop...

My 56 was at the Great Canadian... It had a few Schwinn Stingrays in the back of it... It sat behind the stage where the bands played and the "bikers" raced. I found a pic of it on the samba a few days later, kinda flattering!

I have been waiting for $6000 for the single.
Hopefully it will be sold near the end of the month. The guy interested was close to buying it when I ended up trading a paintjob for it... If any of you are at the Octobug show on the 17th-- Look for a Dove blue 55 Kombi with NOS Empi Sprintstars and redline 50 series tires riding really low and running an NOS stroked okrasa 36 horse! (That's the amount of work I foolishly did for the single cab--the paint anyway!)

ahhh...i guess it was possibly the previous owner I was talking to then. I think it was late July.

hey ryan, is that camerons 55 kombi that you're talking about? i've seen pics of it on thesamba. looks pretty flawless. very cool wheel/motor combo, and the paint job looks deep. B)

Hey- yes that's Camerons 55. That WAS his single cab. I haven't done a bit to it except run my own wheels, add a sticker, remove a sticker and pie on the miles!
This truck is so worthy of restoration! It's just that I use it for my shop truck... I've hauled insane amounts of weight and quite a few goodies!! in it! I will miss it but I am planning on more college soon, so there it goes.

If anyone needs dependable and high quality suspension stuff done, Cameron is the guy! I have seen a ton of stuff he's been doing and it is quite amazing! It's not cheap! Check out his work at www.volksfab.com

Sold the ragtop today for $2500 US... Going to the Seattle area and to a very good home. It will soon be getting a fresh 2110!! POWER!
