AM looking for a water pumper tool. It is used to spread those stupid c clips that hold the down pipe onto the manifold. Anyone in the LAngley area have one I could borrow??

those are vw's stupidest idea ever....I recently wrestled with some on a buddies car for hours, just put a header on it!

Stupid idea indeed! When I converted my Vanagon to a TD my Dad drilled out the flange and made a bolt on bracket thingy to hold the pipe on. Works great, except that is doesn't allow for flex like the OG one does (doesn't matter in my case as the exhaust hangs off the motor anyway)
