Ok I know that this topic is totaly unrelated to VW's, but everyone being car nuts I thought I would pose a quick question.  This morning I awoke to a small puddle under the front side of my truck, upon close inspection the fluid was slippery and had a bit of a amber tint to it.  My first thought was brake fluid!? But then again is it diesel fuel.  I did not notice any differnence in pedal feal from the brakes so it leads me to believe this could be fuel.  Being an older powerstroke and a bush truck it isn't that easy to tell where the source of the liquid.  (Being covered in mud) So my question is, does Diesel have an oily texture and a lite amber color??

you're doing good by using your senses. see it, feel it, dont taste it, but you forgot to smell it.

you can then stick your finger in the brake fluid resi and smell it for reference.

then get some diesel in a jerry can and smell it.

that should tell you what it is for sure.
