Wtb - 'family Car'
« on: December 05, 2005, 07:15:36 PM »
I am looking to buy a good 'family car' as our current second car is a bit small for our growing family. If anyone has or knows of anything good for sale please PM or email me: agent-g@telus.net

SUV, WAGON or 4 DR SEDAN
Must be newer model 1995 or newer.
Prefer auto, but 5 speed OK
Prefer less than 130,000kms
Must have: pw, pl, A/C
Must be in very good, extremely clean cond.
Budget is under $13,000
Prefer in Vancouver area, but may travel for right vehicle.

Thanx, Gavin

You can usually find a Volvo 4dr sedan,  with all the bells and whistles. Check Scandia Motors in Maple Ridge ask for Ken--very honest and reliable people...

Nice safe, reliable and well built cars.....   4drs are more plentiful than wagons.... and cheaper.

Check this one out.....

For that money you might be able to find something in the BMW family. I would definetly choose Volvo or BMW over VW products for that period of time..

How bout a 92 Accord EXR wagon?
Rear discs, ABS, bag, PW, PDL, A/C, sunroof, keyless entry, alarm, fresh falkens. Forget how many KM'S I'll check, I think around 250. All service by honda or myself, 2.2 inj. 4 cyl F22A6 goes great, hauls 5, looks good, 40+mpg.
Around $6k.

1999 GMC Safari with 173,000 kms.  Serviced and well taken care of. Comes with 4 mounted winter radials.  No PW or PL but does have air con. 8 passenger. Aircared. Engine and tranny good, new brakes, water pump, fuel pump.  Got a nice new company van and they let me tow stuff with it and take it on holidays so this van is surplus to my needs.  You can have it for 5k.

Sorry Needles,
4 months ago my 76 year old father was still driving it, he's since got an Oddessy and want's to shed the Accord while it's still shiny. Second owner, reciepts since new.
Your'e right about the K's not being an issue, Our's has 475k and runs awesome, dad offered my wife this one but she loves her 91 and it's become a challenge now to hit 500+. My sister has a 90 sedan that's pushing 500 as well. Both have needed nothing but the usual brake pads and oil changes, etc. but nothing big. It's all about the maintenance.
