Hooking Up Msd With Pertronix..
« on: December 29, 2003, 06:46:58 PM »
k guys, i'm gonna be getting my 6al any day now and am curious how to wire my pertronix in. on a stock points setup there would be no worries cause only 1 wire from the distributer, however with the pertronix there is 2 wires (1 to the - side and 1 to the + side of the coil). so my question is with that + wire from the pertronix. should i keep it on + side of the coil and wire my ignition into the msd then to the coil...OR...should i keep that + wire with the ignition wire to the msd then the msd only to the + side of the coil. would either setup work?? i just don't wanna try the trial and error method cause i've heard way too many stories of people frying their pertronix and i really don't wanna be one of them. thanks guys
